Mark R. Gammello, DMD
Dr. Gammello was born and raised in Oil City, Pennsylvania. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of Pittsburgh in 1981. He then earned a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in 1985. Upon completion of his dental degree he was inducted into the Beta Chapter of Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society.
Following his graduation from dental school, Dr. Gammello was commissioned into the United States Air Force as a Captain and immediately entered into a one year general practice residency at Wright-Patterson AFB Regional Medical Center in Ohio. Upon completion of his residency program, Dr. Gammello was then assigned to the dental staff at F.E. Warren AFB, WY, where he practiced for an additional four years. During his time in the Air Force, Dr. Gammello was certified in Intravenous Conscious Sedation, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Advanced Trauma Life Support. He also received an expert marksmanship ribbon as well as a Meritorious Service Medal. During the summer of 1990, Dr. Gammello and his wife Lil returned home to enter into private dental practice.
Dr. Gammello is passionate about taking the time to inform and educate his patients so that they can make knowledgeable decisions regarding the dental care they receive. This passion parallels Dr. Gammello’s personal philosophy that people always maintain a curiosity about life and never lose the desire to learn. On the weekend, you can often find the Gammellos attending Pitt football and basketball games at their alma mater.
Biggest Accomplishment/Proudest Moment: Marrying Lil and the birth of our sons.
Impossible to Give Up: Freedoms bestowed upon us as American citizens.
Hobbies: Deer and turkey hunting, target shooting, collecting dental antiques and Americana antiques.
Volunteer Service: Franklin Rotary (23 years), including past President and Paul Harris Fellow.
Favorite Local Restaurant: The quaint Log Cabin Restaurant

Lil Gammello

Professional Passion: I am passionate about making our patients feel comfortable, and proud that we have built a very family-oriented practice. I enjoy working alongside my husband, Mark.
Personal Passion: I love spending time with my family, including my husband Mark, our two children, Ben and Nick, our nine year old boxer, Gabe, our two cats, Bella and Penny, and the most recent addition, our Australian Shepherd puppy, Jax.
Favorite Way To Spend a Weekend: I enjoy a nice bonfire with friends and family. I also enjoy taking the dog for a walk, shopping with my girlfriends, and going to Pitt football and basketball games.
Impossible to Give Up: My morning cup of tea.
Proudest Moment: The birth of my two sons.
Biggest Accomplishment: Graduating from college.

About Me: After working in Dental and Medical Administration for 30+ years (yikes!), I have found my calling here at Gammello's! It didn’t take me long to learn that this is the practice I want to work for until I retire! Dr. Mark and Lil are wonderfully caring towards their patients and staff and truly treat everyone like family!

Favorite Way To Spend a Weekend: Going to our cabin in Hallton, PA.
Proudest Moment: Having my two kids, Peter (35) and Diana (33).

Fun Fact: Originally from Hermitage, PA, I’ve worked in dental (and medical) office management for more years than I’d like to admit! I’ve lived and worked all over the country, including Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Johnstown, Los Angeles, Orlando and Salt Lake City.
Shirley Miller

Professional Passion: Helping apprehensive patients of all ages to relax enough to get through their appointment on a cheery note.
Personal Passion: Helping our military and their families while they are deployed and back home. Helping veterans in need. I volunteer with the United Military Support of Venango County.
Favorite Way To Spend a Weekend: In the summer, I enjoy kayaking, camping and camp fires with the family dog. In the colder months, I enjoy cozying up with hot chocolate and a good book, also with the family dog, and waiting for a soup to simmer until it’s done!
Impossible to Give Up: Chocolate (all kinds)!
Hobbies: Gardening, reading, kayaking, crocheting.
